According to Mercer, Parsons removed Roberts’ wig and head gear last week. Interestingly, this episode is NOT on the WWE Network.

Regardless, Roberts was wearing a new wig and head gear this week.
Mantell hooked an inside cradle for a 1-count.
When Roberts hooked his own inside cradle, he also earned a 1-count.
He then head-butted Mantell with his head gear FLATTENNING Mantell. Hmmm...
As he hip-tossed Mantell, Roberts delivered an elbow drop for 2.
He then bulldogged Mantell for another 2.
To explain Gordy’s elongated absence, Mercer reported that Gordy was in Japan but will return next week.
Upon mounting the second turnbuckle, Roberts landed an elbow smash but couldn’t get 3.
Mantell rebounded with a knee lift and secured a backslide.
1-2-3.
Mantell won.
UPSET CITY!

Summary: Roberts continues to put people over at his expense while generating heat from the Dallas faithful. Solid win for Mantell here.

At Methodist Central Hospital, Kevin pays a visit to Doyle Nash, a patient rehabbing from an auto accident. Good PR for WCCW and the Von Erichs.

Following a commercial break, Mercer interviews Akbar with Mongol. Akbar puts over his charge, Kamala, and cuts a promo on Brody and the Von Erichs. When will we see our heroes face Devastation, Inc.?

Mongol landed a back elbow and slammed Bond.
As Bond missed a dropkick, Mongol delivered a backbreaker.
He then powerslammed and pinned Bond.
To the thrill of no one, Mongol won.

Match 3 for the NWA American title: “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin (champion w/ Sunshine) versus “Gentleman” Chris Adams

A ten-minute time limit? Is there a rush to the brisket buffet line afterward?

When Garvin gave Adams a cross corner whip, he came up empty on his follow-through.
Adams then backdropped and dropkicked Garvin.
As he dropkicked Garvin again, Adams sent Garvin reeling to the floor.
Garvin then returned to the apron only for Adams to bring him in the hard way.
After he slammed Garvin twice, Adams hip-tossed him.
Garvin rebounded with a suplex for 2.
When Garvin tossed him to the floor, Adams delivered a slingshot cross body block for 2.
Garvin then guillotined him with the top rope for 2.
As the Dallas faithful acted firmly in Adams’ favor, their hero countered a rear chin lock with a shot to the top turnbuckle.

With two minutes remaining, Adams leap-frogged and monkey-flipped Garvin.
He then hit a superkick sending Garvin to the floor again.
After Adams suplexed him back into the ring, he got 2.
He then slammed Garvin, delivered a leg drop, but only got another 2.
When he landed a second superkick, Adams only got 1 thanks to a foot on the bottom rope.
Next, a leg sweep by Adams with less than fifteen seconds couldn’t get 3.
Ultimately, the bell rang, and referee Bronko Lubich ruled the match a time-limit draw.
Garvin retained.

Summary: Adams not only had Garvin to contend with but also the clock. In his game of beat the clock, Adams came up short but looked great against the villainous champion.

After the match, Adams threatens Sunshine with a spanking causing her to remove her stiletto to act as a weapon.

Following that, Mercer interviews a deflated Garvin who retracts his mantra to defend the title every week due to the effects from his match with Adams.

Match 4: The “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich (w/ “Iceman” King Parsons) versus Michael Hayes (w/ Buddy Roberts)

Before the match began, Parsons wore Roberts’ head gear to the ring and claimed to referee David Manning that he had “a migraine.” HA!

According to ring announcer Marc Lowrance, Parsons and Roberts will be handcuffed together to mitigate outside interference.
In an unusual circumstance, Kerry wrestled barefoot. Perhaps he was thirsty?

To begin the match, Kerry provided Hayes with a ten-top-turnbuckle count-along.
He then landed an elbow drop for 1.
As Hayes delivered a back elbow, a discus punch by Kerry sent him to the floor.
They then brawled until Kerry landed a knee drop.
When Hayes hit a belly-to-back suplex, he followed with a backbreaker.
He then gave Kerry a series of cross corner whips; however, Kerry leaped to the second turnbuckle afterward and delivered a cross body block.
1-2-3.
Kerry won.

Summary: Without the assistance of Roberts, Hayes suffered another defeat at the hands of a Von Erich.

After the match, Hayes dispatches Kerry unceremoniously out of the ring, and he and Roberts double-team Parsons. In fact, they handcuff him to the top rope. How dastardly! Hayes then sends Manning flying over the top rope to the floor, but Kerry returns to chase off the heels.

Conclusion: The Adams-Garvin match steals the show, but, in general, the show is truly worth your while.
