Match 1: “Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle) versus Sweet Brown Sugar
Highlights:
Pringle distracted SBS allowing Rude to ambush him.
When the match segued to the floor, Rude rammed SBS face-first into Marc Lowrance’s table.
Rude dropkicked SBS, landed a fist drop, but only got 2 thanks to a foot on the bottom rope.
As he rammed SBS face-first into the mat, Rude suplexed him for another 2.
Mercer acknowledged Rude’s black eye due to Pringle’s mishap at the spectacular.
After they returned to the floor, Rude slammed SBS and rammed him face-first into the floor.
Rude snap-suplexed SBS but couldn’t get 3.
While Mercer claimed that the WCWA would invade the Rosemont Horizon near Chicago in August, SBS blocked a shot to the table and fed Rude two of his own.
SBS leapfrogged Rude, attempted a second one, but ate a shot to the midsection instead.
Planting SBS with a Rude Awakening, Rude pinned him at 7:11.

At ringside, Mercer interviews Brody who touts his newest rival Abdullah the Butcher yet wants to face him anyplace anywhere.
Match 2: Bruiser Brody versus “Marvelous” Marcel Pringle (w/ Percy Pringle)
Highlights:
According to Pringle, Marcel is his “cousin.” Marcel’s real name is Lenny Hawkins who “broke into the business together” with Pringle.
Brody slammed Marcel twice and tossed him to the floor.
As he slammed Marcel on the floor, Brody PLASTERED him with a chair.
He tied Marcel up in the ropes and blasted him with a big boot.
When Brody flattened him with another one, he pinned Marcel at 3:45.

Summary: Showcase match for Brody.
Following the match, Brody sauntered after Percy who took his “cousin” and hightailed it.
Highlights from Reunion Arena include the return of Mike Von Erich as well as the successful retention of the World Six-Man titles by the Von Erichs. In addition, Abdullah sends Kabuki packing for Tokyo in a bloody brawl.
Match 3: Kevin Von Erich versus “Killer” Tim Brooks
Highlights:
Kevin escaped a wristlock with a dropkick. Impressive!
When Mercer mentioned WCWA heading to the Rosemont Horizon again, I was dumbfounded by the lack of results.
Kevin ducked a clothesline and uncorked a second dropkick.
As he reversed an Irish whip, Kevin slammed Brooks.
He fed Brooks an elbow drop, mounted the top turnbuckle, and landed a flying splash.
1-2-3.
Kevin won at 4:00.

Match 4: “Gentleman” Chris Adams & Brian Adias versus “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer & “Maniac” Matt Borne
Highlights:
Adias fed Sawyer an atomic drop followed by a dropkick.
As Borne tagged in, Adias reversed an Irish whip and backdropped him.
Adams tagged in, mounted the top turnbuckle, and lowered the boom onto Borne.
When tags were exchanged on both sides, Sawyer leapfrogged Adias twice but fell victim to an arm drag.
Adams tagged in, mounted the top turnbuckle again, and lowered even more boom this time onto Sawyer.
After Sawyer gave Adams a cross corner whip, he came up empty on his follow-through.
Adams dealt Sawyer a belly-to-back suplex and tagged in Adias.
While Sawyer delivered a backbreaker, Borne tagged in but missed an elbow drop.
Adams tagged in and clotheslined Borne.
Suplexing Borne, Adams landed a diving headbutt for 2.
Adias tagged in and scored with a back elbow to Borne for another 2.
With tags exchanged again on both sides, Sawyer slammed Adams but missed a pair of elbow drops.
Adams backdropped Sawyer and tagged out.
Once again, tags were exchanged on both sides, and Adams tied up Borne’s left arm in the ropes.
Before he could extricate himself, Borne caught Adams squarely in the biscuits. SNEAKY!
Sawyer tagged in, and the match briefly segued to the floor.
Tagging in, Borne socked Adams for 2 while the Dallas faithful clamored for some vegetable shortening.
Borne piledrove Adams and tagged in Sawyer.
Guillotining Adams with a stungun, Sawyer baited Adias into the ring.
Sawyer countered a back drop with another piledriver, and Adams should be counting the light bulbs.
Mounting the top turnbuckle, Sawyer attempted a flying splash, but Adams somehow evaded him.
Hot tag Adias.
He backdropped Sawyer as well as an incoming Borne.
Since all four wrestlers were in the ring, Adias blasted Sawyer with a flying forearm.
He only got 2 thanks to a save by Borne.
Escaping a slam, Adias locked Sawyer in an O’Connor roll, but Borne annihilated referee Bronko Lubich. How dastardly!
Adias earned a false pin, but Borne upended him.
Holding the trunks, Sawyer rolled up Adias.
1-2-3.
Sawyer and Borne won at 12:21.

Summary: Thanks to some sinister chicanery, Sawyer and Borne stole a victory from Adias and the World champion.
Conclusion: Despite the lack of concrete information, WCWA was going out of its way to appear as a national promotion with stopovers in Chicago and New Orleans. Obviously, the effect of the WWF machine as well as the downturn of local business due to the oil crash.
On the bright side, Adams looked sharp despite his partner’s misfortune. Kevin made the kids and women scream in glee with his defeat of Brooks.
Next week, Kevin battles Sawyer while Bruiser Brody and Steve Simpson square off against Brooks and Grappler II. Also, some ham’n’egger in face paint makes his Dallas debut.
