For those unaware, Donovan was a member of Jimmy Hart’s First Family in 1981.

Donovan slammed Bond for 2.
When he delivered a knee lift, Donovan backdropped Bond.
He then backdropped Bond again and hit an elbow drop.
As he missed a second one, Donovan launched a cross body block.
1-2-3.
Donovan won.

Match 2 (non-title): NWA American champion “Gentleman” Chris Adams (w/ Sunshine) versus Kelly Kiniski

According to Mercer, that no-good, crooked “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin stole Adams’ belt. How dastardly!

Kiniski hip-tossed Adams while the Dallas faithful chanted “go Chris, go.”
As Adams returned the favor to him, he dropkicked Kiniski twice.
He then attempted a cross body block, but Kiniski caught and guillotined Adams with the top rope.
When Kiniski delivered a swinging neckbreaker, he got 2.
He then hit a back elbow for another 2.
After he slammed Adams, Kiniski missed a senton.
Adams then leap-frogged and monkey-flipped Kiniski.
As Adams delivered dropkick #3, the momentum sent Kiniski between the ropes to the floor.
With Kiniski on the apron, Adams suplexed him back in for 2.
He then slammed Kiniski, landed a leg drop, and got another 2.
When Adams hooked an inside cradle, he couldn’t get 3.
Meanwhile, Garvin and Precious came to ringside while Adams slammed Kiniski again.
Visibly distracted, Adams cradled Kiniski but only got 1.
While Garvin flaunted wearing Adams’ belt, Adams hooked a crucifix for 2.
Adams then let his guard down, so Kiniski rolled him up.
1-2-3.
Kiniski won.
UPSET CITY!

Summary: Solid TV match with a storyline ending to keep the Adams-Garvin feud simmering.

After the match, Garvin laughs his ass off while Adams seethes about his misfortune. Adams then slaps Garvin who gets up on the apron. As Adams brings him in the hard way, Garvin ties him up in the ropes and taunts him with the belt. Garvin then drops the belt to antagonize Adams, so Sunshine climbs in the ring to retrieve it. She then tries to nail him, but Garvin thwarts her attack and grabs her by the hair.

Before he can demolish her, Adams frees himself and belts Garvin. He then connects with a superkick that knocks Garvin OUT COLD. He then retrieves his belt while he and Sunshine exit the ring. Upon handing the belt to Sunshine, Adams reenters the ring and strips Garvin of his fancy ring wear. Needless to say, but Garvin in no longer a sharp-dressed man. Awesome segment!

For those unaware, Butch was fresh off destroying his friendship with Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart in Mid-South.

After Mike leap-frogged him, Butch countered a head lock with a belly-to-back suplex.
He then gave Mike a cross corner whip and backdropped him.
When he delivered a fist drop, Butch rammed Mike face-first into the mat.
Mike then reversed a cross corner whip but ate knees on his follow-through.
As he mounted the second turnbuckle, Butch landed a flying right.
He then military-press-slammed Mike before hitting a flying shoulder block.
1-2-3.
Butch won.

Following a commercial break, Hayes promotes a music video for “Badstreet USA.”

Kevin reversed a cross corner whip but came up empty on his follow-through.
As Gordy guillotined him with the top rope, he delivered a swinging neckbreaker.
Another swinging neckbreaker by Gordy was followed by an oriental spike.
While the Dallas faithful rallied for their hero, Kevin made the ropes.
Gordy then guillotined Kevin with the top rope again, but Kevin rebounded with an Iron claw.
When Gordy reached the corner to escape, Kevin put a knee into his midsection.
He then reversed another cross corner whip but ate a clothesline.
After each wrestler forcibly shoved referee David Manning away while brawling with the other, Manning called for the bell.
He ruled the bout a double-disqualification.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Summary: Just in case you forgot that the Von Erich-Freebird war was ongoing, this clusterfuck was included.

After the match, Mike Reed and Mike Bond try to separate Kevin and Gordy to no avail. Kiniski and Donovan climb into the ring, but the brawl continues. To wrap up the segment, Hayes summons Gordy from the ring and calms him down at ringside.

Conclusion: While the beat goes on for WCCW despite the loss of David, Kevin and Gordy continue to battle within the seemingly never-ending war between the Von Erichs and Freebirds. In addition, Garvin causes Adams to lose to Kiniski in a surprise upset. To round out the show, newcomers Chick Donovan and Butch Reed make their debuts and are victorious.
