Can Brody and Link beat Gang and Rude, or will they be destroyed? How will Lance fare against Tatum? What happens with Missy? Also, the Adams-Hernandez saga!

Match 1: The “Heartthrob of New Jersey” Jack Victory versus Tommy Montana

Montana scored with an O’Connor roll and got 2.
When Victory missed a back elbow, Montana launched a cross body block for 1.
Victory gave Montana a cross corner whip but fell victim to a sunset flip for 2.
As Victory fed him a series of elbow smashes, he gave Montana another cross corner whip followed by a knee to the midsection.
He mounted the second turnbuckle and landed a flying elbow drop for 1.
After a kick to the midsection, Victory got 2.
Montana dealt him a forearm smash, but Victory responded with another elbow smash.
While he rammed Montana face-first into the mat twice, Montana returned the favor in triplicate.
Montana dropkicked him twice, but Victory leapfrogged him and delivered a lariat.
Despite Montana’s 360° sell, Victory pinned him at 9:21.

Summary: Showcase match for Victory that was too long. He gave Montana too much of a chance here.

Following a commercial break, we revisit Reunion Arena when Hernandez snubbed a tag from Adams. After Adams caused the Dynamic Duo to lose by disqualification, Hernandez acted as if everything was copacetic, but Adams was having none of it. In fact, he slapped Hernandez. In Fort Worth, during an interview, Hernandez claimed that he “knocked (Adams) out” back in the locker room at Reunion Arena. He also claimed that Adams apologized.

Adams entered the ring and questioned Hernandez about his whereabouts. When Marc Lowrance updated Adams about Hernandez’s interview, Adams’ blood started to boil.

Hernandez changed his story to appease him, but Adams asked him if he wanted another slap. Before Hernandez could answer, Adams slapped him.

Suddenly, Hernandez rose to his feet and WHACKED Adams in the back with the tag team belt. As Adams fell to the floor, Hernandez joined and made him HIT THE POLE.

Next, during another interview, Hernandez claimed that he upgraded Adams from the outhouse to the penthouse. Afterward, Adams cut a promo on Hernandez referring to him as “lowdown scum.”

Following that, we revisit last week when Adams ambushed Hernandez following an enhancement match. The setup for this feud was marvelous.

Match 2: “Hollywood” John Tatum (w/ Missy Hyatt) versus Lance Von Erich (w/ Sunshine)

Before the match began, Missy mouthed off to Sunshine who had to be restrained by referee David Manning.
Unfortunately for Sunshine, Manning ejected her from ringside.
Much to Tatum’s dismay but also to the Dallas faithful’s delight, Manning also ejected Missy. Prior to Missy’s departure, a female fan wearing a Lance Von Erich shirt SPAT on her.

Yet again, Lance wrestled barefoot.
As the Dallas faithful LOUDLY chanted “go, Lance, go,” their hero leapfrogged and hip-tossed Tatum.
Tatum escaped another hip toss attempt but succumbed to an O’Connor roll for 2.
When Tatum gave him a cross corner whip, he clotheslined Lance.
He mounted the second turnbuckle and landed an axe handle.
After Missy returned, Lance fed Tatum a back elbow for 2.
Tatum reversed a cross corner whip, yet Lance leaped to the second turnbuckle.
Deviously, Missy tripped Lance as he leapt.
Tatum mounted the top turnbuckle but missed the big elbow as Lance evaded him.
1-2-3.
Lance won at 5:15.

Summary: Lance took advantage of Tatum’s egregious error and won the match to a raucous ovation. Tatum walked the greener-than-grass Lance through the match rather well.

Following the pin, Missy enters the ring and instructs Tatum to nail Lance. As Tatum misses him, Lance dropkicks him from the ring. Missy slaps Lance who grabs her around the waist and spanks her. Woohoo!

Before Tatum can rescue his valet, Sunshine returns to restrain him. The Dallas faithful LOSES ITS DAMN MIND over the whole thing as an upset Missy slaps the BEJEEZUS out of Tatum and walks out on him.

Match 3: Bruiser Brody & the Missing Link (w/ Sunshine) versus One Man Gang & “Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Percy Pringle)

A brawl erupted before the bell, and Link headbutted Gang.
When Brody fed Rude a big boot, he got 2.
WCCW chaplain Gary Holder joined the broadcast table for this match.
As Link tagged in, he scored with a series of headbutts to both Rude and Gang.
Gang tagged in, and the heels tried to double-team Link.
However, some heel miscommunication led to Rude’s abrupt departure from the ring.
Rude tagged in, and the Dallas faithful chanted “go, Link, go.”
After Brody tagged in, he slammed Rude.
Gang stormed in, but Brody met him head-on.
While the Dallas faithful began to chant “Bruis-er,” Gang tagged in and slammed their hero.
Gang landed an elbow drop but only got 2 thanks to a save by Link.
Felled by a dropkick from Brody, Gang got tied up in the ropes.
Rude tried to rescue his partner, but Brody booted Gang sending Rude flying down to the floor again.
Tagging in, Link headbutted Gang.
Rude tagged in but missed a dropkick.
Diving with a headbutt, Link got caught from behind by Gang.
Brody immediately intervened, and all four wrestlers were in the ring.
Mounting the second turnbuckle, Link got nailed by Percy with the cane. How dastardly!
Unfazed, Link sauntered after Pringle around and back into the ring.
Rude quickly manhandled and tossed Link over the top rope.
As a result, Manning disqualified Rude and Gang, and Link and Brody won at 6:56.

Summary: The Link is absolutely WORTHLESS. All he does is perform headbutts. The Brody-Gang war barely happens, and Rude’s there mainly for his manager’s interference.

Afterward, the heels double-clothesline Brody. Gang grabs his chain, but Brody escapes Rude and Pringle’s clutches before annihilating Gang. While Gang and Brody brawl at ringside, Sunshine accosts Pringle. Much to the delight of the Dallas faithful, Brody swings the chain above his head. Gang tosses some steel chairs and the ring steps into the ring, but Link has his own brand of fun with them.

Conclusion: Main event aside, the Lance-Tatum match is worth your time. Along with the update on the Dynamic Duo breakup, this is a can’t-miss episode.
