Match 1: Steve Simpson versus Crusher Yurkov (w/ “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe)
Highlights:
- Crusher fed Simpson a back elbow and followed with a dropkick. Impressive!
- When he slammed Simpson, Crusher dealt him a fist drop.
- He slammed Simpson again and landed a leg drop.
- As the Dallas faithful LOUDLY chanted “go Steve, go,” Crusher delivered a pair of knee lifts.
- Crusher suplexed Simpson, yet Sharpe remained the sole member of his cheering section.
- After referee Ralph Pulley halted Crusher’s shenanigans, three minutes were left in the match.
- Crusher landed a diving head butt with two minutes remaining.
- While he slammed Simpson yet again, Crusher missed a somersault senton.
- Simpson mounted the top turnbuckle, successfully scored with a cross body block, but only got 2.
- Leapfrogging Crusher, Simpson hooked a sleeper.
- With the clock running out, Crusher wouldn’t submit.
- The bell rang, and Pulley declared the bout a time-limit draw at 10:20.

Summary: Although Crusher looked impressive, he couldn’t defeat Simpson. On the flip side, Simpson came awfully close with the sleeper, but time wasn’t on his side.
Match 2: Kevin & Mike Von Erich versus Black Bart & the Grappler
Highlights:
- Kevin flipped out of an armbar and dropkicked Black Bart.
- As Mike tagged in, he mounted the top turnbuckle and lowered the boom onto Black Bart.
- He dropkicked Black Bart who tagged out to Grappler.
- When Grappler gave Mike a cross corner whip, Kevin cushioned the blow.
- Grappler reversed a cross corner whip, but Mike booted Black Bart who was attempting to soften Grappler’s fate.
- After Mike dropkicked Grappler, Kevin tagged in, mounted the top turnbuckle, and lowered the boom onto Grappler.
- Kevin missed a dropkick, so Grappler slammed him, fed him an elbow smash, and got 2.
- While Black Bart tagged in, Kevin leapfrogged him.
- Mike tagged in and scored with a thrust kick in mid-air.
- With all four wrestlers in the ring, the heels whipped the Von Erichs toward one another, but Kevin leapfrogged Mike.
- Each Von Erich dealt a heel a dropkick, and they double-dropkicked Grappler. Awesome!
- 1-2-3.
- Mike and Kevin won at 4:20.

Summary: Exciting win as the Von Erichs look strong with their high-flying skills.
At ringside, Mercer interviews Gary Hart who shills the Brody-Abdullah match on Christmas night until Brody interrupts. Brody gives Mercer three airline tickets—one for 12/26 for Hart and two for Butcher since he can’t fit in one airline seat. Interestingly, he states he doesn’t want anyone on his side outside the cage.
Match 3 for the WCWA World tag team titles: Lance Von Erich & Dingo Warrior (champions) versus Al Madril & Brian Adias
Highlights:
- This match occurred on 12/1 in Fort Worth and was joined in progress.
- When Warrior gorilla-press-slammed him, he returned Adias back to the heel corner.
- Madril tagged in and distracted referee Rick Hazzard.
- As Adias craftily guillotined Warrior with the top rope, Madril tagged in and tossed Warrior to the concrete floor.
- Madril again distracted Hazzard, and Adias gave Warrior the business by the steps. How dastardly!
- After Madril baited Lance into the ring, he and Adias double-teamed Warrior.
- They illegally switched, and Adias clotheslined Warrior for 1.
- While Madril tagged in, Lowrance shilled a house show at the Sporatorium that only drew 250. Yikes!
- Adias baited Lance into the ring once more, so the heels could illegally switch again. Clever!
- Tagging in legally, Madril gave Warrior a cross corner whip but came up empty on his follow-through.
- Hot tag Lance.
- He backdropped Madril and followed with a clothesline.
- Rejoining the match, Adias ate a back elbow.
- Lance slammed him, mounted the top turnbuckle, and scored with a missile dropkick.
- 1-2-NO!
- Lance hip-tossed Adias and attempted a flying headscissors.
- Unfortunately for him, Madril nailed him with a foreign object. Heinous!
- 1-2-3.
- Adias and Madril won at 7:33 shown.
- WE HAVE NEW CHAMPIONS!

Summary: Classic heel chicanery directly led to the titles changing hands.
Match 4: Tony Atlas versus “Killer” Tim Brooks
Highlights:
- This match was also joined in progress.
- As he leapfrogged Brooks, Atlas hip-tossed him.
- He ducked a clothesline and launched a cross body block.
- 1-2-3.
- Atlas won at 2:55 shown.

Summary: Showcase match for Atlas.
Match 5 (non-title): WCWA World tag team champions Al Madril & Brian Adias versus Scott Casey & Mark Youngblood
Highlights:
- Youngblood leapfrogged Adias twice and fed him a hip toss.
- When Madril wandered in, Youngblood hip-tossed him too.
- The heels illegally switched, and Madril tried to set up Youngblood.
- However, Youngblood blasted Adias and chopped Madril.
- Casey tagged in, and Madril offered a handshake.
- Too experienced to fall for it, Casey shook but grabbed a side headlock immediately.
- Adias tagged in and hip-tossed Casey.
- As he dealt Casey a back elbow, Adias tagged out.
- Madril sent Casey down to the blue floor where Adias slammed him. SNEAKY!
- Meanwhile, Madril discussed phony tickets to the L.A. Rams game with referee Bronko Lubich.
- Madril clotheslined Casey while the Dallas faithful chanted “go Scott, go.”
- After Adias tagged in, he offered Lubich bogus 50-yard line seats to the Cowboys allowing Madril to mug Casey from the apron.
- Adias attempted a suplex, but Casey countered with an inside cradle for 2.
- While Youngblood tagged in, he plastered Adias with a forearm smash.
- An incoming Madril took the same medicine.
- With all four wrestlers in the ring, Youngblood flattened Adias with a double chop.
- Madril dealt Youngblood a shot to the midsection, and Adias followed with a side-Russian leg sweep.
- 1-2-3.
- Adias and Madril won at 5:09.

Summary: Showcase match for the new champs.
Following the match, the heels double-clothesline Casey before Lubich told them…
Conclusion: We witnessed both the tag title change and the NEW champions’ first victory. Also, the Von Erichs looked sharp taking down Black Bart and Grappler. Crusher and Simpson opened the episode with a solid draw while Atlas won an enhancement match. Overall, it’s a fun episode with a history-changing match.
Next week, Warrior and Atlas square off against Matt Borne and Master Gee.
