Can the Von Erichs retain the six-man titles against Madril, Adias, and Black Bart? Will Atlas survive against Gee, or does Pringle have a say in the matter? Grab your rain gear ‘cuz the excitement is pouring out this one!
Opening montage.
POINT OF ORDER: I neglected to mention that on 11/17, Lance and Warrior defeated “Maniac” Matt Borne and Master Gee (who replaced “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer) for the World tag team titles. Why did Gee substitute? Because Sawyer was fired for failing a drug test. He would head to Japan before reemerging in the UWF.
Match 1: Tony Atlas versus Master Gee (w/ Percy Pringle)
Highlights:
- Gee locked a full nelson, but Atlas escaped and trapped him.
- When the Dallas faithful chastised Pringle about his alleged bedroom habits, Mercer announced that Madril and Adias won the World tag team titles yet didn’t disclose the victory occurred on 12/1 in Fort Worth.
- A criss-cross ensued, and Atlas hip-tossed Gee.
- As he headbutted Gee. Atlas hip-tossed him again.
- He headbutted Gee again, mounted the second turnbuckle, and launched an atomic head butt.
- After Pringle jumped onto the apron, Atlas dragged him into the ring and headbutted him back out.
- Gee nailed the distracted Atlas from behind and landed a pair of knee drops.
- While Pringle scampered back to the locker room, he returned with Borne by his side.
- Atlas reversed a cross corner whip and fed Gee a shot to the midsection.
- Upon headbutting Gee again, Atlas caught him in a sleeper.
- Borne crept into the ring, but Atlas saw and clobbered him.
- As a result, referee Rick Hazzard called for the bell to disqualify Gee at 6:21.

Summary: Lots of smoke and mirrors to hide Gee’s weaknesses in this one.
After the match, Atlas consecutively dropkicks Borne and Gee. He headbutts Borne, but Gee blasts him. While Borne drops an elbow, Pringle reenters the ring. The heels double atomic drop and double guillotine Atlas with the top rope. As Gee slams Atlas, Borne mounts the top turnbuckle and hits a flying senton.
Pringle slaps the BEJEEZUS out of Atlas, and even Mercer wonders when someone’ll rescue him. To add insult to injury, they toss him over the top rope to the blue floor. Ultimately, Atlas grabs a chair and clears the heels from the ring.
Match 2: Bruiser Brody versus the Grappler
Highlights:
- Brody slammed Grappler while Mercer shilled the loser-leaves-town cage match on Christmas night.
- As Brody leapfrogged him, he clotheslined Grappler.
- Speaking of Grappler, he gave Brody a cross corner whip but ate boot on his follow-through.
- Grappler fed him a knee lift, but Brody responded with another slam for 1.
- When Grappler got tied up in the ropes, Brody planted a pair of size 18s right into the mask.
- He dealt Grappler a big boot and pinned him at 4:47.

Summary: Showcase match for Brody.
Allegedly, an interview of Madril, Adias, and Black Bart happened here but was omitted by the WWE Network.
Match 3: Dingo Warrior versus “Killer” Tim Brooks
Highlights:
- Warrior won a test-of-strength, reversed a cross corner whip, but ate boot on his follow-through.
- When Brooks retaliated with an elbow smash, he mounted the second turnbuckle and scored with a flying forearm smash.
- He mounted the second turnbuckle again, attempted another flying forearm, but Warrior caught him in a bear hug.
- As Warrior slammed Brooks, he missed a leg drop.
- Warrior no-sold Brooks’ strikes, ducked a clothesline, and bulldozed him down to the mat.
- 1-2-3.
- Warrior won at 3:34.

Summary: Showcase match for Warrior.
Match 4: Abdullah the Butcher (w/ Gary Hart) versus Mark Youngblood
Highlights:
- Abdullah tossed Youngblood onto Lowrance’s table and wreaked havoc.
- As Youngblood returned, Abdullah tossed him out of the ring again.
- He joined Youngblood on the blue floor and rammed him into a post. If only it’d been a steel railing…
- When he annihilated Youngblood with the post, Abdullah strangled him with the connecting rope.
- The match didn’t last long inside the ring because Abdullah threw Youngblood out again and distracted referee Rick Hazzard.
- Next, Hart gave Youngblood the business on the blue floor. How dastardly!
- Youngblood mounted the top turnbuckle and uncorked a flying chop.
- After Abdullah stymied him with strikes, he mounted the bottom turnbuckle and fed Youngblood a head butt.
- He hung Youngblood out to dry on the top rope and applied a python sleeper.
- While Youngblood tried to escape, he lost consciousness.
- Abdullah won at 5:04.

Summary: Showcase match for Abdullah.
Following the match, Hart grabs the microphone and chastises the Dallas faithful for their love of Brody. That’s just plain MEAN.
Match 5 for the WCCW World Six-Man tag titles: Kevin, Lance, & Mike Von Erich (champions) versus Al Madril, Brian Adias, & Black Bart
Highlights:
- Yikes! It appeared that Lance took a trip to Borne’s barber. If the point of integrating him into the Von Erich clan was a faint resemblance, the haircut ruined it.
- Madril wanted no part of Kevin and tagged Black Bart to begin the match.
- When Kevin leapfrogged him, he dropkicked Black Bart.
- Lance tagged in and dropkicked Black Bart too.
- As he suplexed Black Bart, Lance got 1.
- Both Madril and Adias refused tags, so Black Bart remained in the ring.
- After Black Bart got pinballed in the babyface corner. Mike tagged in, mounted the top turnbuckle, and lowered the boom onto Black Bart.
- Madril tagged in, but Mike tagged out to Kevin sending Madril scurrying to tag out.
- While Black Bart reluctantly tagged back in, he caught Kevin being distracted.
- Adias tagged in and clotheslined Kevin.
- Tagging in for the first time, Madril fed Kevin a knuckle sandwich.
- Black Bart tagged back in, landed a fist drop, and got 2.
- Rejoining the match, Adias hammered Kevin in the heel corner.
- That prompted Mike to explode from his corner to help his brother, but referee Ralph Pulley ushered back to the babyface corner.
- Triple-teaming Kevin, the heels tried their best to manhandle his feistiness.
- Madril tagged in and clotheslined Kevin.
- To avoid Kevin’s comeback, Madril tagged out to Black Bart again.
- Mike distracted Pulley again permitting Black Bart to gnaw on Kevin. Ew.
- With the Dallas faithful chanting “go, Kevin, go,” Madril distracted Pulley leading to a false tag.
- Pulley returned Lance to the babyface corner, so the heels destroyed Kevin in theirs. SNEAKY!
- Guillotining Kevin with the top rope, Adias joined the chaos causing all six wrestlers to be in the ring simultaneously.
- Kevin blocked a suplex and dealt Black Bart one of his own.
- Mounting the top turnbuckle, Kevin launched a missile dropkick.
- He hooked a somersault roll-up and pinned Black Bart.
- As a result, the Von Erichs retained at 8:11.
Rating: ***
Summary: Wild main event with Black Bart forced to carry the load thanks to Madril and Adias’ cowardice. Evidently, it cost the heels the match.
Afterward, Mike and Adias brawl on the mat until Kevin chases Adias from the ring.
Conclusion: Although I understand scrubbing licensed musical introductions, the beginning of a couple of matches have been altered/ruined because of it. Nevertheless, the Von Erichs triumph in the main event thanks to Madril and Adias’ knack for being chickenshit heels. Abdullah, Warrior, and Brody won enhancement matches while Atlas prevailed yet suffered at the hands of the Pringle dynasty.
