Match 1: Dingo Warrior & Scott Casey versus “Killer” Tim Brooks & Spike Johnson
Highlights:
- Casey hip-tossed Brooks, but Johnson tagged in, mounted the second turnbuckle, and demolished him with a double axe handle.
- When he slammed Casey, Johnson missed an elbow drop.
- Warrior tagged in and backdropped Johnson.
- As he clotheslined Johnson, Warrior pinned him at 1:49.

Summary: Brisk showcase match for Warrior and Casey.
We revisit the 11/01 episode when Adias turned his back on both Mike Von Erich and Steve Simpson.
Match 2: Tony Atlas versus the Grappler
Highlights:
- Look who it is!
- Grappler charged, but Atlas arm-dragged and backdropped him.
- As Grappler failed to slam him, Atlas military-press-slammed him. Impressive!
- Grappler applied a couple of full nelsons, but Atlas escaped without much effort due to his immense strength.
- When a criss-cross erupted, Atlas hip-tossed Grappler.
- Speaking of Grappler, he rammed Atlas into the turnbuckle, but Atlas no-sold it with a smile. I like me a happy Tony Atlas.
- Grappler fed him a snap mare, got 2, but was vaulted on a tremendous kickout by Atlas.
- After Grappler dealt him a knee lift, Atlas leapfrogged him twice and hooked a sleeper.
- Grappler passed out, so Atlas won by submission at 5:32.

Summary: Showcase match for the newcomer.
Following the match, referee Ralph Pulley urges Atlas to wake Grappler up.
Match 3 (non-title): WCWA Texas champion “Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer (w/ Percy Pringle) versus Lance Von Erich
Highlights:
- For those curious, Lance wore boots for this match. Normally, he’d wrestle barefoot like Kevin.
- In an inset promo, Warrior referred to his bicep as a “sledgehammer.” Details of the settlement between Warrior and Peter Gabriel remained confidential.
- Nevertheless, Sawyer gave Lance a cross corner whip but came up empty on his follow-through.
- The Dallas faithful showered him with a “go, Lance, go” chant, but their hero got his face rammed into the mat.
- When he suplexed Lance, Sawyer missed an elbow drop.
- He clotheslined Lance but missed another elbow drop.
- As the match segued to the blue floor, Sawyer suplexed Lance. How dastardly!
- Sawyer leaped from the apron and bashed Lance making him kiss the blue floor. I don’t care what color it is. That’s nasty!
- Back in the ring, Sawyer applied a bear hug, pulled him down to the mat, and got 2.
- Lance rebounded with a pair of dropkicks, gave Sawyer a cross corner whip, and followed with a back drop.
- After he mounted the top turnbuckle, Lance soared with a missile dropkick for only 2.
- Sawyer had placed his fuzzy boot on the bottom rope.
- While Pringle got a bit too close for comfort, Lance belted him.
- That enabled Sawyer to crawl over to Lowrance’s table and grab his chain.
- Blasting Lance in the back with a chain, Sawyer couldn’t get away with it.
- Referee Rick Hazzard noticed his shenanigans and called for the bell.
- As a result, Lance won by DQ at 11:41.

Summary: Crappy finish to a decent match, but what’s Sawyer doing now?
After the match, Sawyer chokes Lance with the chain until Warrior arrives. Sawyer annihilates him with the chain as well and gives him the business on the blue floor. As Sawyer returns to the ring, he wallops Lance with the chain before choking him again. A BUSTED OPEN Warrior revives, shoos Sawyer from the ring, and chases him away from ringside with a chair.
Match 4: Crusher Yurkov (w/ “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe) versus Bart Batten
Highlights:
- Crusher flapjacked Bart, gave him a cross corner whip, and followed with a Samoan drop.
- As he fed Bart a back elbow, Crusher gave Bart another cross corner whip followed by a dropkick.
- He mounted the top turnbuckle and decimated Bart head-first down to the mat.
- When he splashed Bart, Crusher pinned him at 2:25.
Rating: DUD
Summary: Showcase match for Crusher.
Match 5 (non-title): WCWA World champion Kevin Von Erich versus “Maniac” Matt Borne (w/ Percy Pringle)
Highlights:
- Borne attacked Kevin prior to the bell and slammed him.
- When Kevin reversed an Irish whip, he powerslammed Borne for 2. Nifty!
- He mounted the top turnbuckle and scored with a missile dropkick.
- As he fed Borne a knee drop, Kevin worked on the arm.
- Borne rebounded with a belly-to-belly suplex but missed an elbow drop.
- In an inset promo, Black Bart cut a “dadgum” promo on Kevin.
- Meanwhile, Kevin dealt Borne an enziguri and attempted an Iron claw.
- Although Borne blocked it to his head, Kevin applied the Iron claw to the midsection.
- Nonetheless, Borne escaped, but Kevin mounted the second turnbuckle and unloaded a flying elbow smash.
- After Borne wrapped himself up in the ropes, Kevin charged but ate boot.
- Borne leapfrogged him, but Kevin responded with a huracanrana.
- 1-2-3.
- Kevin won at 4:07.
Rating: ***
Summary: Without a doubt, Kevin’s at the pinnacle of his career and showing it.
Following the match, Pringle tries to interject himself, but Kevin splatters his remains on the blue floor.
Conclusion: Much improved effort over last week’s dreck as Kevin showed why he’s boss. Also, Lance survived albeit barely thanks to a bloody Warrior. Finally, Atlas looks right at home in his new digs.
Next week, Bruiser Brody and Steve Simpson square off against Abdullah the Butcher and Crusher.
